Diabetes recipes dont call for strange or obscure ingredients; you should be able to buy everything you need from your local supermarket.
The modern diabetic cookbooks use simple ingredients that you can purchase at any grocery store. On a diabetes diet you can normally eat
anything you like, but only a little bit of it. Controlling your portion sizes is a very important part of any diabetes diet. You should eat
smaller meals reguarly. You should also not consider getting on any other health diet when you are on a diabetes diet.
You Can Still Go Out to Eat
Believe it or not diabetics, diabetics can still go out to restaurants and eat! You can even do it without breaking your diabetes diet, just so
long as you know what you can order before you go. Even if you get a plate full of meat you dont have to eat all of it; just make sure you eat
lots of vegetables. Also eat slowly to give your body the time it needs. When in a restaurant, you should always ask the waiter questions; you

You may need to do other things as well as get on a diabetes diet. If your doctor has prescribed you with medication then you should not stop
taking those just because you are on a diabetes diet. Eating right isnt a cure, but it will make the symptoms much less noticeable.
